HLA was asked to create welcoming and comfortable spaces for special small group events, as well as for gathering before and after mass. An elliptical seating area, that also serves as a meeting space, mirrors the building footprint. The Ashlar pattern of precast architectural paving defines the ground plane to differentiate it from other gathering spaces. A winding path of arcs and curves weaves through a regional planting palette to invigorate what was a barren patch of dirt. The project was completed in 2016.
