Mill Valley Hillside

This hillside home in Mill Valley had very difficult access. Huettl Landscape Architecture was able to put together a design incorporating several elements into the steep slope. An existing patio was extended and a multi-level spa/plunge pool became the focal point. Steps running across this water feature lead to an upper sitting area with a gas fire pit. Adjacent to this, a large deck featuring an outdoor kitchen and bar fill a formerly neglected area behind the home. Steps and railings link the various levels on both sides of the house. Bold plantings help soften and tie the hardscape to the site.
