London Ranch

The modern home on this expansive Glen Ellen property was remodeled and a new ADU was added. It was decided to make the driveway space in front of the former garage into an entry court that could accommodate cars but work as a gathering space for people. A square planter of concrete with a Cork Oak anchors the center of the space. Elsewhere on the property a small pool was replaced with a dining terrace overlooking a lawn terrace. Steps lead down the hill past a small sitting area with a gas fire pit. Steps were carefully placed between two large oak trees, leading to the lower pool yard. At the far end of the pool an open pavilion of concrete, steel and wood provides respite from the summer sun.
